feet yarn painting of Huichol artist, Martin Benitez. This painting was donated
to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens by the late Isabel Jordan’s relatives. Isabel
Jordan was a resident of Yelapa for 30 years and lately passed away on the 18th
of January. The yarn painting which was donated to the Botanical Gardens was
created in the year 1984 and it depicts all the common themes of Huichol
paintings like the birds, the sun, the earth, rain, corn fire, deer and peyote.
These themes ultimately symbolize the beginning of new life and the
significance of life, universally. This beautiful painting is on display at
Vallarta Botanical Gardens and you must see it to actually appreciate its true
