Tennessee Williams once said, “I have tricks in my pocket.” Well that was a line from his highly acclaimed play, “The Glass Menagerie”. But if any one place can use this as a caption, well then Daiquiri Dick will certainly win the award. Not only does this place provide you with a great menu, with sizzling aromatic and mouth watering treats, but it also displays special menus that take place almost weekly. For the 4^th of July, Daiquiri Dick again provided us with a great opportunity.

For the 4^th of July Daiquiri Dick featured an international bar-b-que which if I may add sizzled at the taste palette of every individual that was present. This phenomenal bar-b-que begun on the 1^st of July and lasted till the 6^th of July, and it ended so soon that if I could, I would have swiped my magical wand and said the magical word, which in this case would be “Stop.” Daiquiri Dick featured an exceptional 3 course menu which displayed a tasty appetizer, a succulent entrée and a scrumptious dessert. And all for a very affordable price of $299 pesos. Imagine, only $299 pesos! Can I just say wow? Well, wow!

All the customers had a choice and could choose one dish from each course. The first starter that the menu offered was the Grilled Focaccia with pesto, goat cheese, and fresh tomato and toasted pine nuts. The second was Sweet Corn Chowder with potatoes, carrots, onions and cream and thirdly and my personal favourite, Watermelon Salad with arugula, candied pecans and panela cheese. And these were just the starters or appetizers folks!

The main course or the entrées included Hazelnut-Crusted Chicken with raspberry sauce, served over mixed greens and grilled sweet corn. The second choice that was presented to the people was Grilled Lamb Burger with curry. It was served over grilled pita bread with a number of grilled veggies, arugula, and a honey mint yogurt dressing. The third choice was Cajun Blackened White Fish with corn and cherry tomato relish. I feel hungry just by mentioning them to all of you!

The deserts this time were scrumptious and yummy and were really the cherry on top. The first dessert that was offered was S'mores Cheesecake with summer berries. And the second one was Espresso Soaked Lady Fingers layered with sweetened mascarpone cheese. These delectable treats were enjoyed thoroughly by all of the people who visited Daiquiri Dick during this time. People were able to quench their famished appetites and just generally have a great time with their family and loved ones.
